 REWILD HASTINGS

Free Community Work

We are so lucky to have Project Rewild in our town. My children always come home tired, muddy and full of magical stories of their adventures. This is what all children should be doing

Free opportunities for children and families in local communities across Hastings and St Leonards to get outside and enjoy their local natural spaces.

Project Rewild is a Non Profit Community Interest Company (CIC). We are committed to making our work accessible to everyone in our local communities

Rewild Hastings is an exciting local community campaign run by Project Rewild which delivers free opportunities for children and families to get outside and enjoy their local natural spaces.

We work with a range of funders, housing associations and local community groups such as Active Hastings, Active Sussex, and Sport England to fund this work. All these events and groups are totally free and accessible to everyone. We want to take our high-quality outdoor work directly into our communities to ensure everyone is able to access their own connection with the natural world

Our Town

Hastings, St Leonards and the surrounding area is rich in natural beauty. We are lucky enough to live in a magnificently stunning part of the world with vast amounts of glorious outdoor spaces to enjoy. We have it all; Captivating beaches and sea, rolling hills, dramatic cliffs, marvellous marshes, enchanting woodlands, pretty parks and gorgeous green spaces throughout the town

We work in all these spectacular spaces as well as smaller areas of green space directly in housing estates and communities in the town

This towns natural spaces are amazing, lets get outside, enjoy them, love them, learn from them and protect them.

Being outside is safer for us, it is better for our physical and mental health, for our immune systems, it keeps us connected to the natural world at a time when we are becoming increasingly disconnected and isolated. At this time more than ever before we should all be getting outside as much as possible.
